The story so far…

From an early age I had two seemingly disparate passions of sailing and sewing that led me along a path that included a fashion degree course at Kingston University, London, working as a designers assistant deep within the fashion world at Workers for Freedom and a transatlantic sailing crossing on a Swan 48.

A 6 year stay in Ventura, California, with Patagonia exposed me to the heart of the technical sportswear industry and allowed me to develop my design + management skills within many different outdoor sports and cultures under the umbrella of sustainable development.

One year on the south island of New Zealand was spent learning the skills of a Graphic designer whilst participating in the fledgling years of the sport of kite boarding.

I returned to Europe to design a house on the Isle of Wight while also renovating the Helly Hansen watersports collection and shifting the sailing industry with the invigoration of my outdoor marketplace experience. This lead to further work introducing new lifestyle product ranges for both Patagonia and Gill utilizing my experience of working in different industries and continents.

I have a holistic approach to the clothing industry, solving business situations, re-launching brands and launching new product categories.

In the last few years I have shifted from managing remote Design and Development teams to also researching and prototyping in my Laboratory.  I’ve created/worked in various workshops around the world and I have now built a new custom laboratory with digital 2D/3D patterning and mixed media 3D construction tools and machines. I am now focusing within many fields of wearable technologies and elite athletes… creating bespoke performance items for both training and competition and garments where textiles and technology combine.

I bring all these experiences together to design emotional, innovative, environmentally harmless, cutting edge and directional products that last both physically and aesthetically through blending technology with emotions and cultures for life, living and performance.
